Dr. Joseph Broujerdi is committed to continuous innovations in patient treatment and applies this passion for perfection through the adoption of the latest in proven technologies. For procedures that are more aesthetic in nature, Dr Broujerdi is now using the non-invasive 3dMDtrio System to successfully capture an anatomically-sound 3D photograph of the patient’s face or torso for evaluation and planning.
For more complex procedures of the head and neck, Dr Broujerdi has embraced the latest “virtual patient” approach to treatment planning based on the practices being deployed in some of the world’s thought-leading hospitals. The “virtual patient” uses an image fusion capability to anatomically combine the 3D skeletal information with a high-precision 3dMD photograph as a solid foundation for modeling the treatment plan on a computer. The Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Institute of Beverly Hills utilizes the very best in 3D technology – a low-radiation dose 3D Conebeam CT (CBCT) device by Imaging Sciences called the i-CAT and a non-invasive, high-precision 3D photography device from 3dMD called the 3dMDtrio System. With the combined 3dMD and i-CAT image of a patient, Dr Broujerdi evaluates the “virtual patient” to assist with determining the appropriate treatment plan for procedures such as facial trauma, reconstructive, corrective jaw, nasal, or sleep apnea surgery.
Our practice is also pleased to announce the addition of 3dMDtorso system that now provides incredible visual aid in the 3D image analysis of patient chest, as well as proper technique planning, simulation surgery or implant selection for various breast related surgeries. The 3dMDtorso software provides a simulation platform for breast surgery, this enables surgeons and patients to visually communicate and collaborate on the outcomes of breast procedures by using the patients own image presented in precise 3D format. The software also allows for the selection of implants from the major manufacturer catalogs, position the implant above or under the muscle, adjust for skin and tissue type.

Our practice only uses Summit Surgical Center a certified ambulatory surgical center (AAAASF) in the Beverly Hills triangle and in-patient or out-patient hospital facility and operating rooms at Cedars Siani Medical Center in Los Angeles or Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica.
